Refund Policy

1. General Refund Policy

Due to the nature of fundraising campaigns, all pixel purchases are generally final. When you buy pixels on a fundraising grid, the funds immediately go to the grid owner to support their stated cause.

2. When Refunds Are Available

Refunds may be issued in the following circumstances:

2.1 Grid Removed for Policy Violations

• If a grid is removed by PixelFunder for violating our Terms of Service
• If a grid is found to be fraudulent or misleading
• If a grid contains prohibited content (see our Terms of Service)
• Refunds will be automatically processed to the original payment method

2.2 Technical Errors

• Duplicate charges due to system errors
• Payment processing errors
• Incorrect pixel assignment due to technical issues

2.3 Unauthorized Transactions

• If you did not authorize the transaction
• If your account was compromised
• Must be reported within 48 hours of the transaction

3. When Refunds Are NOT Available

Refunds will not be provided in the following situations:

• Change of mind after purchase
• Buyer's remorse or no longer wanting to support the cause
• Dissatisfaction with how the grid owner uses the funds
• The grid reaching its goal or ending early
• Disagreement with the grid owner's decisions or updates
• The grid owner not completing their stated goal
• Personal financial hardship after making the purchase

4. Requesting a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund based on the circumstances above:

1. Contact us within 7 days of your purchase
2. Email: refunds@pixelfunder.com
3. Include:
   • Your transaction ID
   • Grid name and URL
   • Detailed explanation of why you're requesting a refund
   • Supporting documentation (if applicable)
4. Allow 5-10 business days for review

5. Refund Processing

If your refund is approved:

• Refunds are processed to the original payment method
• Processing time: 5-10 business days
• Your bank may take additional time to reflect the refund
• Stripe processing fees are non-refundable
• Your pixel space will be removed from the grid

6. Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback.

• Chargebacks should only be used for unauthorized transactions
• Initiating a chargeback for an authorized purchase may result in account suspension
• We will work with you to resolve legitimate issues
• Fraudulent chargebacks will be disputed

7. Grid Owner Responsibilities

While PixelFunder facilitates fundraising, please note:

• Grid owners are solely responsible for fulfilling their stated goals
• PixelFunder does not guarantee that funds will be used as described
• We do not verify the accuracy of fundraising claims
• Donors assume the risk that goals may not be met

8. Partial Refunds

In some cases, we may offer partial refunds:

• If only part of your transaction was affected by an error
• If a grid is partially removed (some content violates policy)
• At PixelFunder's sole discretion based on circumstances

9. Platform Fees

Regarding our 5% platform fee:

• Platform fees are refundable if the entire transaction is refunded
• Stripe payment processing fees are non-refundable
• The grid owner receives the refund minus the processing fees already paid

10. Exceptions

PixelFunder reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis, particularly for:

• Extenuating circumstances
• Goodwill gestures
• Errors or issues caused by PixelFunder

11. Disputes

If you disagree with our refund decision:

• You may escalate the issue to our management team

• Include all previous correspondence
• Decisions on escalated disputes are final
